Right to Repair

All Registered Social Landlords such as Easthall Park Housing Co-operative have a statutory “Right to Repair” duty as set out in the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001. When you advise us of a repair problem, we will tell you whether the repair falls under this scheme.

Right to Repair means that:

If qualifying repairs are not attended to within the agreed timescale you have the right to appoint another contractor from the Co-operative’s approved list to carry out the work. You are also eligible for compensation for the inconvenience if the repair is not carried out within the set timescale.
