Management Committee Members Wanted!

Eastlogonew

We are keen to recruit new members to join the Management Committee.  If you have a passion to improve your community and some spare time to join the Management Committee and together with local people and other members improve the quality of lives and living conditions of people living in Easthall and Kildermorie, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Easthall Park Housing Association has completed a strategic review of its business, and we are clearly focussed on achieving our new Vision to

make “Easthall Park  - A Great Place to Live”.

It is an exciting time in Easthall Park as we continue our ‘journey of improvement’ where our aim is to continuously improve in our work and service; and deliver improvement in our repairs service and a programme of major repairs to our tenants’ homes, for example new kitchens and bathrooms through our contractors and newly formed in-house Trade Team.

Our aim is for the Management Committee to represent the communities we serve, therefore we would preferably like to hear from people who are:

ü  Tenants or owner-occupier living in tenement properties.

ü  Aged 16-40.

ü  Black and Minority Ethnic.

The position of Management Committee member is voluntary and can be very rewarding, where you will:

Ø  Be required to attend 10 meetings of the Management Committee and meetings of a designated sub-Committee in the year.

(Meetings are normally held between 6.30-8.30p.m.)

Ø  Have a voice to make a major contribution to achieve our vision to make “Easthall Park – A Great Place to Live”.

Ø  Be involved in the key decisions that will improve our service and the quality of lives and living conditions of our tenants and factored owners.

Ø  Develop your skills and knowledge through a programme of training and new responsibilities as a member of the Committee.

Ø  Be able to attend our annual mini-conferences and sector seminars and conferences to network and learn about the role and key issues affecting our work.

We will support you to play a key role on the Committee through:

Ø  The completion of an induction programme.

Ø  Provide reasonable expenses to facilitate attendance at meetings.

Ø  Develop a training programme to enhance your knowledge and learning to enhance your contribution for the Committee to lead and direct the Association.
