Allocations Policy Consultation

The Association are currently carrying out a review of our Allocations policy, following our withdrawal from the Common Housing Register.

We are currently carrying out a consultation process on this policy review.

 

Some of our proposed changes include:

 

  • Changes to Group 1 for homeless applicants
  • All applicants in Group 2 will be allocated 150 points for urgent needs
  • Applicants in Group 4 who are living in properties below tolerable standards will be awarded the same points total as applicants in Group 2 with urgent needs.
  • Increase in points for applicants in Group 5 who are underoccupying properties larger than their needs
  • Increase in points for  applicants in Group 6 who are members of the armed forces
  • Care and support element removed from Group 7. This group will be for applicants whose needs are not covered by the policy
  • The 5 year qualifying period has been removed from Group 8
